Isaiah 54:2-3 [NKJV] “”Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left’.

DAILY READING; Hebrews 12; Exodus 16:1-17:16; Proverbs 7:6-27

Phillis Wheatley was a slave girl in the 18th century who rose to become the first Black woman poet of note in the United States.
Phillis was approximately seven years old, when she was kidnapped near the coast of West Africa and sold to slave ships. After enduring the harsh voyage across the Atlantic, she arrived in Boston in 1761. There, she was purchased by a prominent couple Susanna and John Wheatley, who renamed her Phillis after the ship that had brought her to the city and also gave her their surname.
God gave her favour before her owners, so that while working for the family, they taught her how to read and write, which was unusual at that time.
In less than two years, Phillis was able to fluently read the Bible and other books, after she had mastered English, she went on to learn Greek and Latin.
Phillis Wheatley composed her first poems as a young teenager and caused a stir among Boston scholars when her talented writings were made public.
The publication of her poems on various subjects, turned her into a transatlantic celebrity.
She would become a notable apologist, abolitionist, and missionary who garnered attention from politicians, including George Washington, for her religious writings which praised God and spotlighted important issues of that time, especially slavery.

Living at a time, when slaves had no recognition and racism severely restricted the success of any Negro, it is amazing that Phillis Wheatley could rise to international fame and acclaim.
The contents of her mind through divine illumination, made her to stand out and become celebrated despite being a slave.
The truth is that when your mind is upgraded through exposure to God’s Word, you will manifest such amazing potentials that will force your world to recognize you and celebrate you.
Only limited thinking can cause a person to live a limited life. Too often, we allow the limitations modeled to us by our upbringing and circumstances set the ceiling on how far we can go in life.
If you are not careful, you can allow your past to chain down your future. Overcoming limitations starts with changing your mindset.
You need to raise the bar of your expectations because as a child of the Almighty God, you are capable of greater things. To see greater open doors, we must enlarge our vision and expand our thinking.
It is time to break out of the “box” of your old thought patterns. Stop listening to the negative voices in your head that say you are never going to do better in life.
God says in Isaiah 54:2-3 (NKJV) “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. For you shall expand to the right and to the left”.
By God’s grace it is your season to expand on every side. Where you are is not where you’re supposed to end up. You may have started out in obscurity, but you are headed towards becoming a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. No matter how difficult your circumstances may look now, understand that there is nothing impossible with God. No external situation can stop God’s purpose for you as long as you don’t give up.
What you need to do is to draw closer to God and trust Him to manifest His preordained plans for you in due season.
As you daily walk intimately with God, and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit, you will soon arrive at that glorious destination where you will become a wonder to your world.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me to focus on following Your plans through prayers and consistent study of the Word. I thank You for opening greater doors of destiny for me in this season and taking me to greater heights in Jesus Name.
