Sven Lidman was one of Sweden’s greatest authors. He was born in 1882 into great privilege and received the best of education. By 1920, he was an acclaimed author and had published 13 books and collections of poetry.
Lidman was a renaissance man who had cultivated relationships with the leaders of his day, and his life was steeped in worldly pleasures. Yet he felt deep inner longings that could not be satisfied with brandy, tobacco, and women.
Lidman finally found true peace when he accepted Christ as Savior and was baptized at the leading Pentecostal church in Stockholm in 1921. The news of his transformation came as a shock to many.
Lidman’s conversion was widely covered by the nation’s press and became an ongoing topic of conversation at dinner tables across Scandinavia.
Lidman eventually became a popular Pentecostal preacher, and countless people accepted Christ through his ministry. Though Lidman had all the world had to offer, nothing could satisfy his deepest longings until he found an intimate relationship with Jesus

We live in a world organized around the unspoken belief that the more success you have, the happier you will be.
We are made to believe that the more the achievements of a man, the more satisfied he would become.
But the truth is that a person can have great accomplishments, be widely celebrated and still not be fulfilled. He can climb to the top of the corporate ladder, own homes on multiple continents, and have a bank account bursting at the seams, but still be depressed.
True peace and joy comes from walking in communion with God. Other things may pacify, but only God’s love can truly satisfy.
Indeed outside of Christ all is vanity and chasing after the wind. Only an intimate relationship with Him can fill the deep hunger and longing in our souls.
Success without God is never true success. Open doors outside of God can become traps.
No matter what a man achieves, if he is operating outside of God’s will, life will be a tale of uncertainties and sorrows.
Today, by the power in the Blood of Jesus, let us receive the grace to set our priorities right and always seek God above all else. Whenever we are in true communion with Christ, we will have true peace, fulfillment and experience the blessings of God that makes rich and adds no sorrow with it.

PRAYER; Lord I thank You for granting me the grace to always seek You above all else.. By the power in the Blood of Jesus, I shall always make You my greatest priority in life and enjoy the true success that comes only from You in Jesus Name.
