LUKE 24; 3-6 ‘And it came to pass.., two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen’

The Buddhist temple of Sacred Tooth in Sri Lanka is of great importance to Buddhists because it holds the relic of a real tooth of Buddha.
This relic of Buddha’s tooth is enshrined in a two-story inner chamber which is decorated very magnificently.
The relic is considered so important that it plays a key role in the political reign in Sri Lankan Government. It is believed that the region that holds the relic of the sacred tooth also holds the power of government of the country.
Just like Buddhism, other world religions also hold in high esteem any place where the relics of the body or belongings of their founders are kept.
What sets Christianity apart is that no place on earth holds any physical body part of Jesus.
His tomb is empty and He is alive for evermore.
In the history of the world, no other religious leader was crucified by trained soldiers in full view of the public, had his tomb seriously guarded, and yet rose again from the death to appear to many people.
Buddha did not rise from the dead. Muhammad did not rise from the dead. Confucius did not rise from the dead. Krishna did not rise from the dead. Only Jesus has physically risen from the dead and is alive today! Christianity is based upon this most amazing event in all of human history. Truly, the resurrection of Christ is the crowning proof of Christianity and is what elevates it above all other world religions.
The risen Christ now sits at the right hand of God the Father which is the prominent position of power.
And as Christ reigns in power, so are we to reign and dominate upon the earth, because He has delegated all power and authority to the Church.
As the redeemed of the Lord, our lives should showcase Christ’s victory at Calvary. We are to dominate over life’s challenges and refuse to be defeated in any circumstance.
We are now no longer ordinary human beings on earth but extraordinary divine beings in Christ.
Just as the resurrection sets Christianity apart, so does a life of power set Christians apart in this world. Truly, as many as have received Christ have also been given the power to manifest as the sons of God upon the earth.
As Christ rose from the dead, so are we risen with Him and are now seated with Him in Heavenly places far above principalities and powers and every force of darkness.
Today, we are the physical body of Christ through which He is moving in the world to manifest miracles, signs and wonders. We therefore have a responsibility to be spiritually positioned to always manifest His power wherever we go.
We celebrate Christ’s resurrection today, because it has established for us a spiritual change of status and empowered us to live a life of victory and dominion upon the earth.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for helping me to fully appropriate the benefits that Jesus won for me on the Cross. By His resurrection power, I shall certainly live in dominion and triumph always over life’s circumstances in Jesus Name.
