Deuteronomy 31:8 ‘And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.’

Cindy Lavonne Morgan is a contemporary Christian musician and songwriter, who has won many awards including 13 Dove Awards.
In the course of her career she has seen miracles and remarkable divine interventions. One of these was what happened in the early days of her music career. In 1996, she arrived for a series of concerts in Los Angeles.
On an evening when she was to hold a concert at a Church, she unpacked her clothes and discovered her dress was terribly wrinkled.
One of her female assistants set out to find an iron. She met a member of the Church’s staff who graciously released the key to her home, and told her where she would find the ironing board.
When Cindy Morgan’s assistant got to the house, opened the door and entered, she was met by a horrible sight. She found that the woman’s teenage daughter was home alone with a loaded gun and was about to commit suicide. The arrival of Cindy Morgan’s assistant to the house had abruptly interrupted the young girl’s intention. Through quick thinking, prayers and the presence of God, she was able to talk the troubled teen into dropping the gun and returned her back to her mother.
The woman who had released the key to her home, realized that God in His infinite mercy had ordered the steps of Cindy’s assistant to ask her for an iron so as to save the life of her teenage daughter. In response to God’s miraculous intervention, Cindy Morgan said, ‘to rescue a life, He wrinkled a dress.’

Indeed what seemed like a setback turned out to become a divine set-up that saved a life.
Many times, the course of our lives are interrupted by God’s divine intervention as totally unexpected events happen that seems to disrupt our own plans.
If we are only walking by sight, we could become frustrated by the wrinkled clothes, cancelled flights, late appointments, delayed schedules, missed opportunities etc. But if we are walking by faith and sensitive to the Spirit, we will trust that God indeed works all things for the good of those who love Him.
What may seem to be random events could be divinely placed in our paths for a reason. This is why it is important to keep our hearts and minds open to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 37:23 says that “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD..”

This means that as we abide in God’s will, we can trust that He is working behind the scenes, ordering our steps and coordinating His plans and purposes.
Certainly, we will live a more peaceful life when we learn to always trust and obey God, knowing that He knows where every road is leading.

Deuteronomy 31:8 says ‘And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.’

Rather than become disappointed or dismayed about life’s unexpected twists and turns, let us choose to praise God, and in everything give Him thanks.
You may not understand everything you are going through right now, but trust that God still has His hands upon your life. If it seems you are facing a closed door today, perhaps those doors were closed so that greater and better doors could be opened up for you.
Truly, when God is our shepherd we can be certain that He will eventually lead us to our green pastures. Therefore in every situation let us keep praising Him because all things are indeed working together for our good!

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. I praise and bless You because even right now I know You are ordering my steps and guiding me to Your perfect plans and purposes for my life in Jesus Name.
