1Timothy 6:12 ‘Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.’

DAILY READUNG; Mark 6:1-29; 2 Samuel 15; Daniel 9

Christians trying to escape religious persecution in Britain founded the American colonies in the 17th and early 18th centuries. As these colonies began to thrive, the British government sought to gain greater control over them. The colonies felt they were treated unfairly by the British parliament and King George III of Great Britain.
Things came to a head when the British Parliament placed harsh new taxes on them.
The American people began to protest against these British taxes and laws. When the matter could not be resolved, on April 19, 1775, the Revolutionary War began between the American forces and the British.
The chances of American colonies winning this war were slim because they were fighting against the biggest empire in the world at the time! Nevertheless, on July 4, 1776, the Founding Fathers of America formally signed the declaration of independence that freed them from the British rule. Copies of this document was sent to every corner of the new nation.
However despite this Declaration of Independence , the British remained unwilling to let them go. But the American nation were determined to gain their freedom, and continued to fight until their independence fully became a reality in 1781, when under the leadership of General George Washington, the American forces finally defeated the British military.
The Treaty of Paris was signed September 3, 1783, formally ending the war and confirming America’s complete independence and separation from the British Empire.

We can make ‘declarations of independence’ to break away from oppression and experience a better future, but it will only become a reality when we are willing to fight for it.
To see definite positive changes in our lives we must
engage in strategic spiritual battles because the enemy will not let you go easily.
It takes spiritual violence to take your inheritance by force.
Our visions of the future are like spiritual open doors, but there are often many adversaries to contend with before we can gain access.
Therefore this year, let us be willing to fight on our knees to take possession of the greater open doors awaiting us. Let us determine to enforce our liberty from the enemy’s oppression in our finances, our health, our families, relationships and every other area of our lives.
Jesus has made every spiritual provision for us to enjoy a victorious life. Through His Blood, He has purchased for us a redemptive package that guarantees us all that pertains to life and godliness.
Therefore do not accept anything that is contrary to your divine heritage in Christ. Whatever situation you may be faced with today, refuse to bow to the opposition. Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has set you free and fight the good fight of faith.
You will win the fight by continually declaring your liberty and maintaining your confession of faith in God’s Word, even in the face of staggering oppositions.
Understand that as a covenant child of God, no one can stop your progress When you strongly connect to God and His power, nothing can stand in the way of your advancement.
Certainly, when God is for us, nothing and no one can be against us. This is why we need to accept the spiritual responsibility of daily seeking a stronger connection to God. We need to invest quality time in prayer, worship, fasting, study of the Word and sacrificial giving.
Success in life and ministry is not an issue of chance, but of choice. It is not a thing you wait for; it is a thing you work at.We will only possess what we are willing to pursue.
As we diligently seek God, surely, we will experience total freedom from every oppression and enjoy divine open doors in every aspect.

PRAYER;
Father, I thank You for the speedy fulfillment of Your Word in my life this year. By the power in the Blood of Jesus every yoke of stagnancy is broken off my life and I am experiencing true liberty in Jesus Name.
