Jeremiah 1:19 ‘And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.’

DAILY READING; Colossians 2:20-3:17; Ezekiel 29-30; Isaiah 55

Emperor Constantine was the first Christian Emperor to rule in Rome. During his reign, Christianity greatly flourished and spread. However, after his death, his relative, Emperor Julian took over the throne and reverted to the former pagan Roman religions and tried in many ways to stop Christianity.
Julian ordered the rebuilding of pagan temples, prohibited Christians from serving in the Emperor’s bodyguard, and removed Christian officials from government.
He then devised other ways to hinder the growth of Christianity by trying to turn the Jews against Christians.
Having learned the Bible in his youth he began to use Old Testament scriptures to flavor his arguments against Christians, saying that they did not strictly adhere to the ancient Jewish laws and so could not be believed.
To gain support of the Jews and encourage them to oppose Christianity, he planned to rebuild the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem which had earlier been destroyed by the Roman army.
In 363 A.D, Julian ordered work of the rebuilding to start earnestly. But Historians recorded that the venture was brought to an abrupt end by a strange occurrence. Fearful balls of fire, broke out near the foundations of the building and began to attack the workmen until they abandoned the project.
This strange occurrence was seen as God fighting for the Christians and it led many in Jerusalem to convert to Christianity, causing Emperor Julian’s plan to backfire.
Shortly after this, Julian lay dying on his deathbed. He was quoted as saying “Thou hast conquered, O Galilean”. The ‘Galilean’ he referred to was Jesus Christ of Galilee. Truly, Christ had conquered over all of Emperor Julian’s attacks against Christianity.

Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 ‘I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.’
God is able to fight for His people and scatter every gang-up against them. As servants of God we are not designed to be cheap victims of the evil schemes of men.
Divine deliverance and victory is certainly the portion of the people who are genuinely serving God and walking in covenant with Him.
Through the Blood of Jesus, God has made provision for our divine protection and dominion.
It doesn’t matter how much anyone may hate you or try to hinder you, God will ensure their evil plans never prevails against you.
Jeremiah 1:19 says ‘And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.’
By shedding His blood at Calvary Christ has positioned us to overcome every attack of the enemy.
God says in Isaiah 54:15 ‘Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.’ Then He goes further on to say that this is your heritage as a servant of The Lord.
Through our commitment to serve God, we enjoy His diverse blessings as He blesses our bread, and water; and takes sickness away from our midst. [Exodus 23:25-26]
Just as various persecutions could not hinder the early Church from thriving and multiplying, as members of the Body of Christ today, we are truly unstoppable.
In these last days, we are in the golden era of the Church, which is our era of dominion.
In God’s end-time agenda, it is our prophetic season to be propelled forward to supernatural progress and divine advancement.
We should therefore endeavor to carefully follow God’s Word and abide under His glory cloud, so as not to miss our place, as He moves His Church from victory to victory.

PRAYER; Father, I rejoice that I am the blessed of the Lord and protected by the Blood of Jesus Christ. As I serve You diligently, I thank You Lord for the overflow of Your blessings upon my life in Jesus Name.
