1 Corinthians 13:11 ‘When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things..’

DAILY READING; Matthew 11:20-30; Leviticus 13; Proverbs 25

King Oyo Nyimba Rukidi is the youngest ruling monarch in the world. He is king of Toro Kingdom, with a population of over 2 million, in southwestern Uganda.
Oyo was crowned king when he was only 3 years old in 1995, soon after his father’s death.
During his coronation ceremony, the 3 year old boy, was put on a miniature throne. However he refused to sit still and remained restless. At a point during the coronation, Oyo yanked off the lion-skin crown that was too heavy for his little head. He slid off the throne, ran away, and hid in his mother’s lap. His uncle who was his legal guardian had to bring in toys to engage the toddler’s attention. And so while the important and sober coronation ceremony was going on around him, the little king sat in the midst of it all, playing with his toys.
After his coronation, Oyo was returned back to England where he was schooling, while his mother and uncle ruled in his place. But as he grew older and became wiser, more responsibility was handed over to him. And today at the age of 28 years, though he is the youngest ruling monarch in the world, king Oyo is very much in charge of his kingdom. He oversees a cabinet and holds talks with presidents and is accorded full respect as the king.

Though he was made a king as a little boy, king Oyo could only begin to reign, when he grew to maturity and came to the realization of who he was.
In the same way spiritually, we must grow from boys to men and become fully aware of who we are in Christ before we can reign as sons of God upon the earth.

1 Corinthians 13:11 says ‘When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things..’

Though we are born again as spiritual babes, we cannot continue living in carnality as spiritual children. We must put away childish ways, and pass through the process of spiritual growth so as to fully reign in life.
Being born again does not give us automatic access to our kingdom inheritance. We have to grow into it through knowledge and spiritual exercises. As long as you refuse to grow, you will be unable to fully take charge and reign in life.
Unfortunately today, some believers through lack of spiritual knowledge and understanding, are suffering what unbelievers suffer. Due to ignorance, they are ruled by fear, diseases, poverty and lack. They are constantly harassed by forces of wickedness, because they lack knowledge of how to exercise the power to overcome..

Hosea 4:6 says ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.’

Knowledge is indeed the master key for victory and dominion. The more you feed on God’s Word the more you will understand and realize who you are and know the power that belongs to you.
Indeed through coming of age spiritually, we will ascend the throne ordained for us, and begin to truly reign in dominion and power as sons of God upon the earth.

PRAYER; Father I thank You for the throne You have ordained for me in destiny. Please enable me to pay the required price to grow spiritually and begin to reign in victory in Jesus Name.
