Galatians 6:9 – “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

DAILY READING Acts 15:22-41, Judges 1, Job 33

The Chinese Bamboo tree is one of the most unique and amazing plants in the world. It doesn’t grow in the typical fashion of other trees. Once planted, one must water, feed and nurture the seed every day, for four years. Yet for those four years there is no evidence of growth, no evidence of life. For four years, it seems like one is totally wasting efforts because there is no sign a tree was planted in the soil. But during those first four years, this bamboo tree is actually growing a very strong, deep and extensive root system below the surface of the ground. This extensive root system is necessary to sustain the life of this amazing tree. This growth cannot be seen with the naked eye, but one who understands this unique plant knows exactly what is happening. Though the farmer cannot see it, he knows the seed is growing. And so he keeps watering and providing sunlight to it because he understands if he stops, this plant will die.

After four years of seeming inactivity, in the fifth year, an amazing thing happens. The tree finally breaks through the surface of the ground, and in the space of five weeks grows to an astounding height of 90 feet. It is as if the tree grows right before a person’s eyes.

This amazing growth of the Chinese Bamboo tree can be likened to our hidden season of prayer. Sometimes as we persevere in the secret place of prayer, it may seem as if outwardly nothing is happening. But we must understand that the ministry of prayer is a walk of faith. We continue to trust God even when we cannot trace Him. We continue to push, knowing that though we may not yet see it, something is happening just beneath the surface. And whatever is happening beneath the surface is a necessary part of the manifestation we desire. Our faith in God gives us the patience to keep watching and waiting until our answer comes.

The truth is that every endeavor that will succeed, must first start in the spirit realm with prayer as the foundation. Whatever it is we are called to do, we must first establish it in the spirit through prayer, before it manifests physically. Many endeavors fail because people ignore the necessity of a spiritual foundation. Whatever you are embarking upon, you require prayer investment at its foundational stage. Keep sowing the seed of prayer, even when you may not see an immediate result. It is only a matter of time.

Galatians 6:9 says “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

There is a due season for our reaping. And as we keep watering our desire in this season of prayer, God will indeed be working out everything for our good. And if we do not grow weary or give up, soon we will reap an amazing outward manifestation of our desired miracles, signs and wonders.

PRAYER: Lord, please help me never to grow weary in well doing. Please strengthen me to continue to pay the required price of prayer. I thank You Lord for the soon manifestation of my desired answers in Jesus’ name.
