Revelation 12;11 ‘And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.’
- DAILY READING – Mark 10:32-52; 2 Samuel 24; Hosea 4:1-11a
Solomon L. Ginsburg was a famous Baptist missionary to Brazil, who served there for thirty-five years. However before he got born again, he used to be the son of a Jewish rabbi and when converted to Christianity, there were a lot of battles against him..
When the Jewish community in Poland heard of his new faith, they tried to convince him to return back, but when he refused them, they proceeded to disinherit and excommunicate him.
When addressing open-air meetings in East London he was attacked, thrown down, and kicked until nearly dead. On another occasion he was invited to a shoe factory to speak to Jewish workmen. The invitation, however, was but a trap to destroy him. When he entered the room, there was a general uprising. The Jewish shoemakers rushed on him with hammers, knives, and lasts and threw him down a spiral staircase with the deliberate intention of killing him. But he caught the railing as he fell and escaped by sliding astride the banister. During his ministry he faced a lot of oppositions and several attempts were made at his life. But he was a firm believer in the Blood of Jesus to save him from all harm. And through faith in Christ’s blood to deliver, he served the Lord with ceaseless devotion and wonderful success in that vast land.
Indeed there is power in the Blood of Jesus to save us from all harm. .By His blood we are more than conquerors and overcomers in all battles.
Revelation 12;11 says ‘And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.’
To live a life of victory we must learn to receive fully the benefits of Christ’s sacrifice. We must exercise this benefit by always applying the blood of Jesus over our lives and all that concerns us. The blood of the Lamb is inexhaustible and never-ending. It is an unlimited supply. According to Isaiah 53:4-5, Jesus’ sacrifice covered every area of man’s existence. He bore spiritual torment for our sins, mental distress for our worry, care, sorrow and fear, as well as physical pain for our sickness and disease. The stripes He bore and the blood He shed were for our healing. By His stripes we are healed. . every time we apply the blood, there is created a barrier between us and all the works of the devil.
The blood of Jesus Christ has the power to rescue us from Satan’s death grip. Paul stressed this power of the blood in EPHESIANS 1:13 which says that our Heavenly Father “has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated (or moved) us into the kingdom of His dear Son.”
*That word “deliver”here refers to the idea of rushing to rescue someone. Without Jesus Christ, we are trapped by Satan in spiritual darkness and death. But Jesus came to rescue us from darkness and death!
Let us therefore continuously apply the blood of Jesus to the doorposts of our lives in faith. When we plead the Blood in the face of sickness, disease or danger, the Power contained in the blood will always arise for our deliverance!
PRAYER: Father I thank You for delivering me from every wicked plan through the Blood of Jesus. I receive the fullness of the benefits purchased for me at Calvary by the blood. I thank You that indeed affliction can never arise a second time in my life in Jesus Name.
